Pallet Rack Warehouse Storage System

SELECTIVE APR

Commonly known as adjustable pallet racking, this is the most popular and economical form of pallet racking. Providing safe 100% selective storage up to 11m, selective racking can help fully utilize valuable air space.

Pallet Racking can be designed to meet virtually any pallet size or weight and can be used in conjunction with all types of mechanical handing equipment.

A wide range of accessories are available to accommodate non-standard pallet loads; mesh wire fencing can be incorporated to effect simple security or bonded enclosures.

Mechanical Handling Equipment:

  • Counter balance or reach truck
  • Reach Truck offers up to 30% improved use of floor space and operate to a height in excess of 9m

Facts About Selective APR:

  • Good stock rotation
  • Good order picking, 100% selectivity
  • Fast picking rate
  • Good product protection
  • Low floor area utilization

VERY NARROW AISLE (VNA) APR-HIGH BAY STORAGE

Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Pallet Racking systems are designed to meet the new generation of warehouses up to 20m high, designed around the operating tolerances of VNA equipment with aisles marginally wider than the load. Obviously these structures must have excellent rigidity and accurate manufacturing tolerances. Our VNA System is designed to meet these requirements.

An increasingly wide range of equipment is now being marketed. The final choice is dependent on a number of factors-size of installation, throughput, order picking requirements, size and weight of loads, capital available, etc.

Mechanical Handling Equipment:

  • Specialist high cost machine-requires good floor surface
  • Operates within guide rails or wire induction guidance system which operates to the height of about 12m

Advantages of using the VNA APR:

  • Good stock rotation
  • Good order picking, 100% selectivity
  • Fast picking rate
  • Good product protection
  • Average floor area utilization

DRIVE-IN DRIVE-THROUGH APR

The Drive-In Drive-Through systems provide you with maximum storage capacity using the minimum amount of space. It is particularly suited to the storage of very large quantities of the same product. This system consists of continuous rows of racking with no aisle in between.Loading and unloading are facilitated by means of counter balance or lift trucks, which can drive into the racks.

For Drive-In racking, picking and replenishment is done from one side only, while for Drive-Through racking, both sides of the racking are used. Drive Through racking offers the advantage that picking and replenishment can take place independently of each other.

Mechanical Handling Equipment:

  • Counter balance or reach truck

Facts about the Drive-In Drive-Through APR:

  • Limited stock rotation
  • Limited order picking, 20-30% selectivity
  • Slow picking rate
  • High floor area utilization

PALLET LIVE STORAGE

Pallets are stored on Pallet Racking (APR) on inclined gravity rollers from one end and roll down to picking end followed by other pallets. When the 1st pallet is taken from "pick" area, the 2nd pallet rolls into position at picking end. Thus following FIRST IN, FIRST OUT (FIFO) principle, and provides an automatic stock rotation. Ideal for food industry and perishable items.

The folow of pallets on steel roller is controlled by brakes and speed controllers, fitted within the roller tracks and depends on the length of the tracks and the weidht of loads. Minimum Forklift Operation is required for even dense storage area.

PUSH BACK SYSTEM

Push Back System offers a high density racking system where goods are stored on inclined roller-tracks, and pushed back. Available in depths of up to 4 pallets on FIRST IN, LAST OUT (FILO) principle. This application is particularly suitable for bulk storage or marshalling areas.

Available in two configurations: Roller Type & Track Type. When the 1st load is taken out, the 2nd pallet rolls forward into position at picking area.

This system utilizes one aisle for picking and deposit.
